Well, Merry Christmas to me...

... a few weeks early...and then some.  I probably need to NOT count my chickens before they're hatched, but...

I have managed to stay on my all-by-myself version of LA Weightloss for a full week.

I have lost 5 pounds in the first week, which I know would be too much except that for the first week, that's kind of normal.

I've managed to stay with the program even when just frantic to eat something, not hungry, just munchy!

The on-line food diary does not exactly provide the same kind of feedback that the LA Weightloss counselors used to, but it seems to be enough to at least let me get my nutrient intake balanced and correct.  Moral support is another matter, but for now I think I can cope.

I've crossed the first of the '0' barriers or milestones or whatever one might call those #s that end in '0'.  The next one won't come so fast but that's ok.  A quick accomplishment in the earliest phase can really help and really feel good.

So, I'm off and running.  Yeah me!

  1. Good for you, Laurie!! It's hard to do it all by yourself sometimes, but you seem to have a handle on it!! You go girl!!

  2. Thank you Gabriele. Things weren't looking so good right after that post...way too early to be hitting a plateau! But I stayed on track anyway, and today it seems like everything is ok. This will be a slower process than what I did 9 years ago, but I think that the slower I lose it, the less likely I am to gain it back later, so I'm not going to worry about it. If it takes a whole year, instead of just 6 months, that's just fine.
